About Me

I am just an eager reader who likes to talk about the books he reads. I have been reading since I was a kid, but serious reading started when I came in eighth standard. My areas of interest are: History, Religion, Politics, Literature, Sociology, Geography, Anthropology, Ecology, Sociobiology, Geology and popular works in other sciences. In history and religion I have special interest in Islam, Christianity and Communism. In literature, I have read Russian, English and Bangla literature extensively, and have done some peripheral readings of French, American, South African, Nigerian and Hindi literature. Some of my other interests are traveling and photography.

I have done my M.A. in English Literature from M.L.B. College Gwalior. Professionally I am a lecturer of English Language & Literature in P.G.V. College, Gwalior.

I love my city! One thing which distinguishes me from my favorite author Naipaul is that unlike him I am very much rooted in my place. I grew up in Gwalior and I feel it in my bones. It throbs in my sentences; in my feelings. And one thing which I desire so much to write about is my city.

I love typing on my laptop! I feel myself complete in typing. Hence the name!

I am avid movie-watcher too, mostly Hollywood and then Vintage Bollywood. Some of my favorites are:

  1. Crouching Tiger: The Hidden Dragon
  2. The Prestige
  3. The Gladiator
  4. Blood Diamond
