There is a very famous quote by the early Church father Tertullian:

“The Son of God was born: there is no shame, because it is shameful.
And the Son of God died: it is wholly credible, because it is unsound.
And, buried, He rose again: it is certain, because impossible.”

(De Carne Christi V, 4)

This absurd argument was followed by the fanatic Christians over the centuries and is still being followed by those who continue to persist in their belief. It was an inspiration during the Crusades; an ideological backbone for those who had to face reality and had an enormous task of reconciling it with the unreal dogma of Christianity.

In effect it is a brazen acceptance of the falseness of a belief and yet a plea for its militant defense. Often it is the only way in which an ideology can be supported. It has to deny truth as a rule. We experience something familiar in the contemporary Leftist-liberal Indian media.

With Marx, Lenin and Mao as their guru I do not need to go into detail here about the dogmas of Indian media. Just as a refresher: being the closest ally of the Islamic apologists they have to whitewash every crime related with Islam, including all the terrorist attacks. They shift the blame on a non-Muslim authority such as the US or the Hindu masses in India.

Just a few hours ago the peaceful and beautiful city of Pune was rocked by the Islamic terrorist attack in which 9 people have died so far. Reactions of general public started pouring in on social media sites and twitter was all abuzz with the shocking event. There were two types of responses to the event.

While the masses fumed over the terrorist activities of Pakistan and the Islamic organizations, the media reiterated its faith in candle light walks; while the masses expressed their anger and frustration over the inactivity and failure of the Indian State and the Congress government, the media called for Aman ki Asha; while the masses called for defensive action, the media propagated turning a blind eye to terrorism.

The masses see the reality, the media denies it. The masses accept the truth of Islamic terrorism, the media denies it in order to nurture the ideology of Secularism. The limits it can go to under its ideological compulsion are extreme. A very representative tweet:

The same Tertullian overtones of ideological fanaticism. The ideology involved here is Indian Secularism. There are many Tertullians in Indian media who, propagating the Left-liberal ideas, consider it their sacred duty to whitewash Islamic terrorism of any guilt. As the scenario of terrorism unfolds it becomes increasingly harder for them to carry on their ideology and as a consequence they turn to desperate measures. One of them says that we should not fight with Pakistan just because it is time consuming!

While our State philosopher Shashi Tharoor gave the terrorists benefit of the doubt and called for restraint! Restraint from the masses! And not from the terrorists!

There was a cunning comparison of internal threats like the Sena antics with the global phenomenon of Islamic terrorism. The motive is to downplay the importance of the issue of Islamic terrorism while highlighting the absurdities of Sena. In the current blasts NDTV first portrayed it as an accident and is still trying to do so. It’s not hard to understand the motives.

While Vir Sanghvi was writing just a few hours before, telling how Sena is as bad as Islamic terrorists.

Only a few like Kanchan Gupta had the guts to say something harsh and true.

But under all this there is a silver lining. The Left-lib media dominated the scene in the age of mass media. Holding the major institutions in its hand it manipulated reality. But in the age of Internet it is no longer possible. The demassification and the decentralization which the Internet has brought to the common people has for the first time given them an independent voice, almost as strong as that of the mass media. Slowly their power will grow and they will overwhelm the traditional mass media. The phenomena is already taking place and our Left-lib media is worried about it. Some of them including Sagarika Ghose and Vikram Chandra let out that they are aware of the growing nationalist Hindu presence on Internet.

Let us keep this fire of truth burning and report every such event truthfully, defeating the machinations of the mainstream mass media.
